Seething Village

The village of Seething lies just under ten miles South East of Norwich. The centre of the village enjoys a large traditional mere (pond) with ducks and reed bed.

The church of St Margaret & St Remigius is one of Norfolk's famous Saxon round tower churches and the Parochial Church Council and the Friends of Seething Church both work hard to keep it active. Next to the church, a wildlife conservation area has been

created in the ancient church meadow. The village also boasts a popular, modern school and a busy Post Office and village stores.

A thriving village hall includes large playing fields, a smaller, restored pond with carefully conserved native species, and a busy children's play area. As well as an immaculate bowl-ing green and associated club.

Our most famous historical landmark is the site of the WW2 airfield once occupied by the 448th bomb group of the US 8th air force. Now home to a flying club and fully restored war-time control tower. Nearby, at Seething Observatory, the Norwich Astronomical society holds public events.
